Andrés Salado

Hello.

It is a pleasure to welcome you to my website as…

Principal Conductor and Artistic Director of the National Orchestra of Costa Rica.
Principal Conductor of the Orquestra Simfònica del Vallès.

Music broadcaster on radio and television.

And all this because deep down I am passionate about music and life, cultural or otherwise.

Let’s get to know each other…

"

A few brief notes
about me.

A consolidated artistic career that has placed him at the head of the most important Spanish orchestras and with a growing international projection

Orchestral baggage

It includes the Orquesta Nacional de España, Real Orquesta Sinfónica de Sevilla, Orquesta Simón Bolívar de Venezuela, Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de México, Lucerne Festival Academy Orchestra (Lucerne Festival), Orquesta Sinfónica de la Comunidad Valenciana, Orquesta Sinfónica RTVE, Orchestra Sinfonica Giuseppe Verdi di Milano, Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León, Mexico City Philharmonic, Orquesta Sinfónica de Galicia, Orquesta Sinfónica de Barcelona y Nacional de Cataluña, Real Filharmonia de Galicia, Orquesta de Valencia and the symphony orchestras of Tenerife, Bilbao, Euskadi and the Balearic Islands.

Upcoming Projects

Of particular note are performances with the NFM Philharmonic Orchestra of Wrocław, the Tbilisi State Opera Orchestra and the RTVE Symphony Orchestra, as well as his return to the Orquesta de Extremadura to celebrate its 25th anniversary.

In the operistic sphere, following his debut with the Fundació Òpera Catalunya with Bizet’s Carmen — a production that was awarded at the VIII Premis Teatre Barcelona — he will be returning this season to Ópera Catalunya to conduct Verdi’s La Traviata.

Character

Versatility and a tireless desire to break down barriers in classical music define his work, with his energy divided between conducting, teaching and outreach, always seeking the greatest possible connection between the arts, performers and audiences. For this quest he received the Princess of Girona Award for Arts and Letters.

Cultural facilitator

One more passion, more than a passion.

The thing about liking your work so much that you can’t stop talking about it…

You can listen to me on La Alboreá, a weekly radio segment that airs every Sunday on No es un día cualquiera, hosted by Pepa Fernández on Radio Nacional de España.

You can also find me on RNE podcasts, with over a hundred episodes of La Platea, alongside Carles Mesa, featured in programs such as No es un día cualquiera, Las tardes de RNE, and Gente Despierta.

On television, I’ve made numerous appearances, most notably as a jury member on Prodigios, alongside Nacho Duato and Ainhoa Arteta.

Solidarity Ambassador

For Ayuda en Acción.

Since 2025 I have been part of the Ayuda en Acción family and the work of more than 40 years of making life better for those who suffer the most.

It is an honour, through the healing power of music, culture and art, to be able to do my bit and help those people who are going through the worst of it. It is very important to me to do everything I can to support Ayuda en Acción in making life easier for others.

Ayuda en Acción

I have a tireless desire to break down barriers in classical music and a lot of energy to spread between conducting, pedagogy and dissemination. An audience in front of me and I will strive for the maximum connection between arts, performers and spectators.
